Panna Cotta

The word panna cotta sounds delish. A creamy vanilla dessert that would be perfect to treat the mommas in your life for Mother's Day. Oh, and it's super easy to make.

Panna Cotta with Strawberry Coulis

What you'll need
1 packet ( 2 teaspoons) of gelatin
2 cups of heavy cream
1 tsp of good quality vanilla
1 cup of sugar ( equally divided)
2 cups of strawberries

1. In a small bowl mix 1/4 cup of cold water and the gelatin. Let rest for 10 minutes.

2. In a saucepan heat the cream, 1/2 cup of sugar, vanilla and gelatin until it simmers. Pour into ramekins or cups and refrigerate uncovered for 4 hours.

3. Combine the strawberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes until strawberries are soft. Put aside to cool down. Once cooled, place the strawberries in a blender until completely smooth.
4. To serve, pour the strawberry coulis  over the panna cotta.

Bon appétit!
